Policy Brief - Innovation and Infrastructures

MOVING was an EU Horizon 2020 project that aimed to build capacities and co-develop relevant policy frameworks across Europe to support the establishment of new or upgraded/upscaled value chains that contribute to the resilience and sustainability of mountain areas. The project engaged value chain actors, stakeholders, and policymakers in a total of 23 European mountain regions in 15 countries. This Policy Brief focuses on potential policy actions that respond specifically to the challenges for mountain value chains associated with innovation and infrastructure – notably capital, education and connectivity. Evidence for this Policy Brief is drawn from analyses of mountain value chains in Hungary, Italy, Portugal, Switzerland and Turkey.
