MOVING Project - Production of mountain wine

MOVING was an EU Horizon 2020 project that aimed to build capacities and co-develop relevant policy frameworks across Europe to support the establishment of new or upgraded/upscaled value chains that contribute to the resilience and sustainability of mountain areas. The project engaged value chain actors, stakeholders, and policymakers in a total of 23 European mountain regions in 15 countries. This Policy Brief presents the Mountain wine production by Vignerons de Huesca Value Chain in the region of Hoya de Huesca, Spain. It focuses on the main policy recommendations needed in the area as a solution to the challenges it faces: attract younger generations of professionals to live and work in the mountains, develop infrastructures, ease the administrative burden on the farmers and uptake economic diversification opportunities.
