Combustion Tests of Residual Biomass in Agricultural and Woodland Plants: Economic, Environmental, and Energy Evaluations

oder

Detaillierte Beschreibung

This project focused on acquiring data related to combustion tests of various residual biomass types found in hill and low mountain farms. The study evaluated the feasibility of collecting agricultural residues such as cereals straws, corn stalks, vine pruning shoots, fruit tree pruning branches, and olive branches. The assessments included economic, agronomic, environmental (emissions avoided and produced), and energy evaluations. Additionally, the study considered woodland biomass from coppices and high forests, including firewood and work timber. A survey was conducted to assess the availability of residual biomass in the Forlì hill area, distinguishing between agricultural, herbaceous or woody fruit crops, and woodland plants. The project proposed territorial information systems to evaluate the energy potential of agricultural biomass in the area. Furthermore, the study involved a chemical-physical characterization of biochar obtained from various biomass types in the project area, assessing their compliance with Italian legislation.
