Communication of emerging welfare issues to genetic material vendors
The BroilerNet project collects promising and successfully implemented Good Practices to meet sector challenges. Through systematically reporting and evaluation of welfare issues, factors directly attributed to genetic material was identified. Through communication about said welfare issues to genetic vendors a better balance between growth rate, bird comfort and product quality was achieved.
